The FORUM PeaceBread is a platform for dialogue about peace, Europe, agriculture and the rural areas initiated by the PeaceBread Association. Interesting interlocutors as contemporary witnesses and experts describe their personal experiences and assessments in relation to an annual theme. The event takes place annually in Berlin in cooperation with partners of the project.

FORUM FriedensBrot 2025: “20 Years of the Rye Field: Reconciliation, Understanding, and Remembrance at the Interface between East and West”

This year’s FORUM will mark the 20th anniversary of the Rye Field, placing a special focus on reconciliation, understanding, and shared remembrance at this historic interface between East and West. We will also reflect on the question of what significance these experiences hold for Europe today.

Moderator Catarina Zanner (rbb) will discuss these themes at FORUM FriedensBrot 2025 with:

  • Prof. Dr. Axel Klausmeier, Director of the Berlin Wall Foundation
  • Thomas Jeutner, Pastor of the Church of Reconciliation in Berlin-Wedding

The program will open with a short introduction to frame the discussion and provide thematic orientation.
