7th European Annual Conference “Peace and Agriculture”

hosted by Romania in cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.

“PeaceBread in cities and the rural areas – for a better understanding in Europe”

Please familiarize yourself with the content of the conference. In the following you will find all speeches in their chronological order.

After the opening by the managing director of the Association FriedensBrot eV, Dr Gibfried Schenk, and greetings from the host countries, given by Mr Nechita-Adrian Oros, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania and Mr Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Parliamentary State Secretary, Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Federal Republic of Germany, see Keynote speech from Professor Dr. Detlev Ganten, Charité Berlin, Founding President of World Health Summit. Then follow brief speeches by representatives of the partner countries of the network “Peace and Agriculture” from politics and civil society. The closing words are held by the chairman of the PeaceBread Association, Anton Blöth.

The event ends with a symbolic “PeaceBread 2021” and wine tasting.

The Association PeaceBread

The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to

  • highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,

  • contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,

  • include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.

The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
