Interesting interlocutors as contemporary witnesses and experts describe their personal experiences and assessments in relation to an annual theme. The event takes place annually in Berlin in cooperation with partners of the project.

FORUM FriedensBrot 2025: “East. West. City. Countryside: What Divides Us, What Unites Us—Then, Now, Tomorrow.”

Moderator Catarina Zanner (rbb) will lead the discussion at FORUM FriedensBrot 2026 with:

  • Alina Herbing, author and exploring social developments and the realities of life in rural East Germany in her literay works
  • Dr. Andreas Möller, author and communications manager, examining the relationships between urban and rural areas, agriculture, structural change, and social understanding in his works

The program will open with a short introduction to frame the discussion and provide thematic orientation.
