7th FORUM PeaceBread: “Agriculture needs peace: in the Ukraine, for Europe!”

This year, as an association that has been dedicated to the topic of “peace and agriculture” and European understanding since its founding, we have to face the war in Ukraine and its consequences. At the FORUM PeaceBread 2022, we want to do this with a particular focus on agriculture and the people in rural areas in Ukraine and the European Union, as well as on issues of global food security.

The Association PeaceBread

The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to

  • highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,

  • contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,

  • include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.

The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
