PeaceBread congratulates to the 125th anniversary of the church consecration and to the launch of the ” Reconciliation Clock”

Berlin, 28.08.2019. We gladly supported the impressive and successful reconstruction of the historical clock of the Chapel of Reconciliation and are grateful for the excellent and fruitful cooperation regarding all things connected to the rye field by the Chapel of Reconciliation on Bernauer Street.
The seeds that have been sown from that soil with the outstanding support of the church congregation five years ago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, have long been fruitful. We reap those fruits together within our European PeaceBread-network and during a lot of encounters and talks around the rye field by the reconstructed Chapel of Reconciliation.

The Association PeaceBread

The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to

highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,
contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,
include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.

The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
