At this year’s 10th edition of the FORUM FriedensBrot, we will focus on the lines of division and connection between East and West, as well as between city and countryside, to mark the 65th anniversary of the construction of the Berlin Wall. The FORUM will take place on November 4, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) under the title “East. West. City. Countryside: What Divides Us, What Unites Us—Then, Now, Tomorrow.”

Catarina Zanner (rbb) will moderate the discussion. Joining her will be author Alina Herbing, whose literary work explores social developments and the realities of life in rural East Germany, as well as Dr. Andreas Möller, an author and communications manager whose books examine the relationships between urban and rural areas, agriculture, structural change, and social understanding.
