Mr LAJEWSKI, teacher at the school complex provides information about the tight relation between the school and Solidarnosc-priest Jerzy Popiełuszko, born in Okopy near Suchowola on 14th September 1947 and murdered in 1984, in a telephone call. The school is very happy to have been chosen to participate in the project and will use this for practical as well as for history lessons.
The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to
highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,
contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,
include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.
The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
