Arvids Krivens, Department of International Relations in the Latvian Ministry of Agriculture reports:

“Today the PeaceBread rye field in Latvia was harvested together with all generations of the Kreicberg´s family, representatives of the advisory system, the Chairman of the Rural Advisory and Education Counsel Mr Martins Cimermanis, representives of the German embassy in Riga, of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic Latvia and of the administration of Zvarde municipality.

The very higlight of our ceremony was the performance of the woman´s ensemble of Zvarde with a folk song (“Blüh, blüh Rogenähre”). The havest starts with traditional instruments.

Mr Egils Kreicbergs is carrying the bag, his wife Marite Kreicberga you see in dress of turquoise color, the combine is steered by son of both, Valdis. The small assistants are Roberts, son of Valdis, and doughterMegija.”
