Talks about PeaceBread in Slovakia

Bratislava, 11.06.2019: For the Slovak Minister of Agriculture and Rural development, Gabriela Matečná, PeaceBread is an important project to speak with international partners about the role of agriculture in future of European Union.

Good and important meeting of Managing director Gibfried Schenk from PeaceBread Association Germany (FriedensBrot e.V.) with Minister Gabriela Matečná and Institute director Pavol Hauptvogel in Bratislava.

Slovakia is the candidate to organize the yearly 8th PeaceBread conference in 2021.

The Association PeaceBread

The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to

highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,
contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,
include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.

The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
