All ten Middle and South Eastern European countries in PeaceBread partnership

Association PeaceBread (FriedensBrot e.V.) is pleased to announce today active engagement of all counties, which were asked for participitation in PeaceBread project. We have been able to send the rye seeds to all countries in the meantime, all of them having appointed concrete contact persons for growing the rye. This is a big success of all people involved in this project – those who will grow the PeaceBread rye, which was harvested on the former death strip at the Berlin Wall, in their countries, and equally those in the Ministries of Agriculture in the respective countries and the Agricultural Diplomats in the embassies in Berlin who have actively supported the implementation of the project so far.

And, we invited our new EU friends from Croatia to join us additionally!

We really appreciate willingness and great engagement of our friends as “Growers of PeaceBread Rye”.

The Association PeaceBread

The non-profit association PeaceBread based in Berlin was created according to its statutes to

  • highlight and make a contribution to the reciprocal connection between peace keeping in Europe and the world and sustainable agriculture,

  • contribute to the commemoration of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe in 1989 and to refer to the new possibilities that were created by universal peace in Europe,

  • include partners from countries that joined the European Union after 1989 or have a membership prospect and therefore promote peace and the understanding between nations.

The members and the managing office of the Association PeaceBread are doing this on a honorary basis. The association acts independently in matters of organization and content
