The place which have been chosen for the cultivation of rye in scope of the “PeaceBread” project is situated in the immediate vicinity of the Institute for seed and seedlings, whose experts coordinated the whole process from sowing to harvest. The Institute constitutes integral part of the Croatian Centre for Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and apart from providing scientific and expert support to the Ministry of Agriculture, according to the Law on Seeds, Planting Material and Registration of Varieties of Agricultural Plants, Institute is entitled to conduct plant variety registration and plant variety protection, certification of seed and planting material, control of seed quality.
