… the messages of the planned conference, the ‘final polish’ of the programme, the commitment of speakers, the support provided by the German Federal Minister Christian Schmidt, the arrangement of the venues, the assignment of simultaneous interpreters, the catering of the guests, the timely completion of our documentary film, the choice of an orchestra for the celebration at the Chapel of Reconciliation, the preparation of little presents for our guests, and so on and so forth …
… many questions, discussions, answers, many tasks still to be assigned – the members present have lots of fun to put all their efforts and creativity into the preparations. Anticipation is growing with each and every detail solved.
Our key objective for 2014 is well on the track: The organisation of an impressive and profound conference and an excellent ceremonial act on “Peace and Agriculture” in the context of the celebrations in honour of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain in Europe, together with guests from all 12 partner countries.
Bringing together thrilling experiences of many countries with their individual history but common European experiences will be a focal point of interest for the foundation of the simple message “No Peace without Agriculture – no Agriculture without Peace” – and of course for the baking and mutual tasting of the European PeaceBread.
It is not without pride that we see the registrations received so far from our Middle and East European partner countries as well as our German sponsors and supporters. Six European Agricultural Ministers have already registered so far. They will be accompanied by students, staff, scientists – and of course by farmers.
